Is your router compatible with your ISP?

Check with your Internet Service Provider for a listing of routers
they employ for wireless networks.

Is your computer WiFi enabled?

• Click the Start button?
• Right click on My Computer
• From the menu that appears, select Properties
• In the box that opens, select the Hardware tab
  
  
  
  
• In the Hardware window, click Device Manager
  
  
  
  
• Scroll down the list of services installed on the computer until you come to Network adaptors
• Click the little "+" sign to the left of the words Network adaptors to expand the contents
• Look for an adaptor labeled "wireless" or "802.11"
  
  
  
  
• If there is no wireless adaptor listed, you will need to get one.
  Some computers use a PCMI slot. A flat looking card that fits in to a slot on the lap top somewhere.
  A computer with a USB port can use a USB type adaptor. These plug in to a USB port and have a cord that allows you to place the receiver for better reception.
